H-E-B Beauty Pick of the Month: Suave Keratin Infusion Products

The H-E-B Beauty Pick of the month just gets better and better! The March pick is the Suave Professional’s Keratin Infusion line featuring their 30 Day Smoothing Kit:This kit is a high-quality alternative to salon keratin treatments.  If you’ve never had one, a keratin treatment is a process which infuses Keratin back into hair because this natural protein depletes over time.  Once Keratin has depleted, your hair will look frizzy, dry, dull and unmanageable, a Keratin treatment will revitalize and restore health to the hair.  However, professional treatments can be very pricey and harsh on the hair due to the formaldehyde in most salon keratin treatments.

What makes Suave Proffessional’s 30 Day Smoothing Kit different is that it is affordable ($11-$12) and it is completely formaldehyde-free.  Now, most of you may know that this is just the type of treatment I need for my hair- unmanageable doesn’t even begin to describe it! However, an at-home Keratin treatment is NOT for everyone.  Luckily, Suave has an online quiz you can take to find out if a Keratin treatment is right for you.

This kit comes with 3 products to get your hair under control:

Step 1: Smoothing Cream with keratin loosens, smooths, and detangles curls and waves.

Step 2: Cuticle Seal Cream with KERALOCK TECHNOLOGY reforms keratin bonds inside the hair fiber and eliminates frizz for long-lasting smoothness and manageability.

Step 3: Heat Defense Leave-In Conditioner provides ultimate moisturization to protect hair while heat styling. Formulated for use with blow dryers or flat irons for optimal shine and smoothness.

I have already taken the quiz and a Keratin treatment is perfect for me.  Have you ever wanted your hair to take a chill pill? If so, the 30 Day Smoothing Kit is just what the doctor ordered!

The 30 Day Smoothing Kit is a great way to get a head start on having lovely hair but, it is only the beginning! Suave Professionals has an entire line of Keratin infused haircare products that will maintain your hairs health and manageability.  The last product I was sent was this Suave Professionals Dry Shampoo, which I have already used, and I love it!

I have tried to love the Tresemme dry shampoo in the past but, the smell and texture was awful.  It left my hair feeling sticky and smelling yucky.  This dry shampoo from Suave however, is completely amazing! It has a fresh, clean scent and it does not cake up or leave a filmy residue on the hair.  I’ve used it on third day hair and my oily scalp feels completely refreshed and oil-free.  I can definitely say that I have found a new favorite dry shampoo (Sorry Oscar Blandi!) and will re-purchase this once I have used it up!

Best of all, it contains Keratin to help keep hair tame and it works great as a volumizer as well.

Now, here is your chance to WIN a 30 Day Smoothing Kit of your own!!
All you have to do is leave me a comment below letting me know why your hair needs the Suave 30 Day Smoothing Kit.  You must be 18 or older and live in the United States (No U.S. Territories, sorry!).  I want to hear about your wild and crazy hair!

I would love to win because of my dry frizzy hair. As a new mommy its hard to feel pretty. I use a straightner on my hair on a daily basis to accomplish this but when the straight is gone im left with a frizz- ball mess on my head. My hair is pretty good about split ends but when it come frizzy, my extremly long thick hair is the queen of frizz.

  2. rozmin says:

I think my hair would love this product cause my hair is curly…. once in a year i have it straightned ,,,,,, and after years of this procedure, its dry, damaged and need of special care..so this time i havent had it straightned..i want my hair to be healthy :-) after years of chemical damage :-(

  3. Lisa Lyons says:

My hair has changed over the last couple of years due to hormones and age. This sounds like a a great treat for me and my hair. Whether I win or not, I will be picking these up the next time I go to HEB.

You are doing a great job!

  4. Chelsey says:

Oh goodness my hair is SO thick and curly it’s nuts! No matter what product I use, there’s always bound to be some frizz action by the middle of the day. Half the time I just leave it up in a bun on top of my head haha. I want to cut my hair but I’m waiting a little longer so I can donate it. :)

    • griselda says:

Yeah, I am doing the same thing. My hair is to my waist and it is super long. It would to be treated by the Suave Keratin Kit. Well, I am definintely going to buy it…..

  5. ?, my hair is dry, damaged and breaking, I’m on medication. Is using suave keratin infusion help repair my hair?
    Reply ASAP.

Hi Lillian, Suave Keratin Infusion may not be for you. It is really intended for hair that is frizzy and unmanageable but, otherwise healthy. If your hair is dammaged and breaking, your best bet would be to meet up with your salon expert who can help you treat your hair and strengthen it over time. I hope this was helpful!

  6. Patty Montagnino says:

Just started using these products. Already I can’t see and feel a difference! I just wish HEB in Taylor Texas carried the kit! I have a coupon for their store and it frustrates me because I can’t use it! LOL

  7. Cindy T. says:

I have extremely thick and coarse hair. Every year I get a Japanese perm but it’s getting quite expensive and it’s extremely time consuming (6 hours min.) I would love to try this product.

  8. Melissa says:

I need this because my hair misbehaves pretty much everyday, especially in this crazy weather where it can’t decide if it wants to be spring or winter (or whatever passes for winter in South Texas). The constant temperature and humidity shifts just makes my hair go frizzy bonkers. That’s the only way I can really describe it.

  9. I need Suave Keratin Infusion because I have frizzy hair. My hair needs help. It looks so great when it is not frizzy so I hope I win. Thanks

  10. Tracy says:

my hair is dry on the end with breakage please help!!!!!

  11. EternalSunshine says:

My hair is stick straight, but I have maybe one hair in 50 that is coarse and wavy. It makes for some interesting frizzies. It’s such a pain to straighten all those crazy hairs…

  12. amanda says:

I would love to win this because my hair is very dry and damaged from straightening it and blow drying it that it needs something like this to help smooth it out :)

  13. Reagan says:

seriously. i haven’t done anything damaging to my hair except a color glaze (demi permanent), but that was over 7 months ago… my hair feels like elastic, it is falling out if i wash it, comb it, brush it, whatever…. it is is WORSE condition than before

    DO NOT USE!!!

    • lashgirl says:

Hi Reagan! I am so sorry to read about your bad experience- too much Keratin is definitely not good for the hair and will dammage it. It sounds like you already had healthy keratin levels and this product definitely gave you an overload. I have had many salon grade keratin treatments to treat my unmanageable hair but, it is just unmanageable- not dammaged. I don’t know what your hair type was like before but, Suave is very ardent about having customers take the hair quiz and read all warnings and cautions before use. Also, I must say that this treatment is much gentler than salon treatments because it is formaldehyde-free. Thank you so much for your feedback and for helping to reinforce the importance of making sure your hair type is exactly right for this treatment.
Keep us posted and let us know if your hair gets back to a healthier condition. Good Luck!

      • zoiya says:

there is NO keratin in this product that is active for the hair. this is a reverse perm NOT an at home keratin treatment. Used 2 days ago and FRIED my hair- the worse I have ever een on normally really healthy but coarse hair.
I advise you to read the reviews on the web before deciding to use the product.

        • lashgirl says:

Thanks so much for the info Zoiya! I took a look at the reviews and it is awful that so many have had bad experiences with this kit! It seems like the solution is to NOT use step 1 if your hair is not right for perming. This is good to know. :)
          Thanks again!

  14. Mary says:

This ruined my hair, it was healthy before. This is a chemical relaxer (reverse perm), not a healthy treatment for hair. Read reviews on amazon, more than half are 1 star rating. This product has caused hair to fall out completely bald! Run away while you can!

    • lashgirl says:

OMG Mary I am SO sorry to hear about your awful experience! As I was commenting to Zoiya, it seems that step one is a big no no for most hairtypes and it’s awful that the instructions and labling seem to be misleading so many to chemically perm hair that is not suitable for such a strong treatment. As a seasoned chemical relaxer, I know my hair can take a beating but I also know that everyone’s can not. Thanks for sharing the link so that we can better ascertain if this kit is right.

  15. Lauren Jessie says:

I get keratin treatments in my hair every 6 weeks and the Shielo Smoothing Products (With the hair oil) are excellent in deep treating my hair to maintain my treatment. Leaves hair smelling wonderful even after hair has been rinsed and blow dried. Get the Shielo products – they will make the treatment last WEEKS longer, and you will save so much money in the long run.
